Mark and Connie arrived for breakfast at 8 am feeling much better after getting a good nights sleep.  Connie was able to get a haircut from Emma and experience an English saloon first thing this morning.  She looked brilliant with her new haircut.
Emma served Connie hot chocolate after her haircut.

We were off to catch the train in Lingfield to London.  One of the first things we did when we got off the train was to buy tickets to see 'Wicked'.  That is one play they wanted to see.  Of course, we were happy to see it again.  It is a wonderful play with bewitching music and story about the prelude to the Wizard of Oz.  We saw Big Ben and the Westminster Abby.  Not much to see of Big Ben with all the being done on it.  Westminster Abby is an amazing cathedral. The line was over 2 hour wait and we decided to see other sights of London than wait in line.  We took a boat ride and saw the Thames and many of the sights of London like the fascinating bridges and architecture.  We saw Parliament, The London Eye, London Bridge which is very impressive and toured the Tower of London.  We saw the back of Buckingham Palace which is amazing with all the gold-leaf on the fence. I was not impressed the first time I saw Buckingham.  It was a cloudy day and the gold on the gate didn't shine but looked dull.  Today was just the opposite.  It was sunny and the brilliance of the gold shone and the statue opposite of Buckingham was awesome. Since than we have heard that we need take a tour of Buckingham Palace which occurs in July and August when the Queen Elizabeth is gone.  We found a cute place to eat pizza and ordered two pizzas and two green salads with a side dish of cheese bread that turned out to be a small cheese pizza.  Very tasty!  We loved 'Wicked'!  It was the best performance of the play that we have seen yet.  Arrived home at 11:30 pm happy to rest our tired feet.  Joyful day being with family.

  1. I don't think you should be taking people to "saloons." It just doesn't seem right! Of course, you did take them to see "Wicked," so.....
