Mark and Connie seeing our flat.
Nymans Gardens
The day was perfect at the London Temple.

Love the flowers that cover
Nymans.

Lingfield loves to take care of their elderly people!

Dinner at our favorite Thai Restaurant.

We waited anxiously to pick up Mark and Connie from Gatwick Airport and felt bad when the plane did not land until 3 hours late when Mark texted us from Los Vegas.  We worked in the office on files and emails.  We get giddy and happy when we know family is coming. Mark let us know that he had landed and that they had customs to go through.  We waited another half hour and took off to pick them up.  We had a hard time finding them because traffic was heavier than normal, and we had to park.  I finally saw them and gave them my biggest hugs and tears flowed.  Tender moments are sweet!!!   Clark dropped me off at the drop off and now it was time to find Clark.  Cell phones are a miracle and we were able to all find one another with them.  It was so good to see Mark and Connie.

We brought them home and introduced them to David and Lesley Bridgstock and showed them their room at the Bridgstocks.  I must say I have a tender heart where they are concerned.  They have provided rooms for the Nan & Jeff & Roman, Dan & Julia Skoubye, and now Mark and Connie.  They are very generous people and I love them.  Connie loved our flat and the house that was built in 1898 or was it 1889?  We ventured out to Nyman’s to see the house and gardens.  The rose garden was in full bloom and so were many other plants and trees blooming.  Afterwards we toured the temple grounds and went to Lingfield to the Thai Lounge for dinner.  After dinner we drove to them East Grinstead.  We wanted Mark and Connie to have a flavor of small towns throughout England. St Swithun’s church is a great example of churches built all over England with the cemetery connected to them.  It was interesting to hear a choir practicing in an adjoining building preparing for a performance while touring the grounds.  It was to dark to take pictures.   We returned home to play a game of Five Crowns to keep our weary travellers awake.  It worked until 9:50 pm.  We sent them home to get a good night sleep.  Tomorrow we will tour London!
