Traveled to Clapham to move and clean a flat.  Elder and Sister Pearce had 2 sets of elders and 1 set of sisters helping move furniture and clean the flat.  There was no parking in front of the flat.  A policeman said we had 40 minutes to load the van and leave.  We got in hyper drive and did it in 45 minutes.  It was an answer to our prayers.  On the way home we were to drop of a chair to the elders in Mitcham.  We met the elders as they were leaving their flat and they did not want the chair.  It was an IKEA chair and very comfortable yet Clark does not like the chairs but a lot of flats have them.  The office bought the IKEA lounge chairs instead of a couch.  When we unloaded the chair Jacob, one of our YSA who works at the temple, sat in the chair and wanted it.  We freely gave it to him.  I stayed at the office while Elder Parker and Elder Wallace went to Crawley Rubbish and Recycle.    The office looks like a working charity shop.  We went home for dinner.  We returned back to the London Temple and office.  Elder Wallace went to the Temple while I worked in the office.  I neeeded time to organise and read emails and time to think while the phone is not ringing and people coming and going.  I am feeling very stressed with all we have to accomplished before the mission closes August 31.

We are sleep deprived!!! It starts getting light at 4 am and we were both awake from the birds singing.  Clark was able to go back to sleep while I was reading a book.  A black bug ran across white duvet!!! I start screaming and woke Clark up. He was to groggy and sleepy to think much of the bug.  I pulled out a tissue from the night stand and took care of the bug myself.   I am not afraid of bugs!  It is just such a surprise to see some small object dash across my stomach. I am LOL while I write this blog.

We tried to get away early to go to Eastbourne and take away rubbish from a flat and deliver items like duvets and sheets, light bulbs, fan, and a cooking pot.  Sister Molbeck is from Denmark and Sister Hulldin is from Sweden. They are so funny and cute together.  They both talk and laugh and don't know much about fixing anything in the flat.  We found the sisters had put their mattresses in the living room to sleep because their bedroom was so hot. (that was what the fan was for!) Clark tried to change of few light bulbs but didn't have the right kind. Clark taught them how to change the lights in the kitchen and hope they can figure out how to put batteries in the smoke and CO2 alarms.  We have a long list of things from the sisters and will give it to them at Stake Conference on Saturday night.  It took us a lot longer at the flat than expected.  With the time we had left we walked on the beach. The sisters are 500 yards from the ocean.  As we were walking, we got a call from Sister Molbeck and Hulldin.  They wanted to get rid of the bunk bed now.  We hurried back to their flat and took a metal bunk bed and a box springs and loaded it into the van. They will have to continue to sleep on the floor until we get them a frame for the beds.  The sisters did not mind the sleeping arrangements.  We found the Eastbourne Recycle and Rubbish and unloaded the van and went back to the office.

We went home to change and returned to the London Temple to pick up the Davis.  We went to the Thai Restaurant and returned back to our place to have root beer floats and play a game of Five Crowns.  Clark won the over-all game by 1 point.  Again - thank you Doyles for teaching us the game and for Nanette buying us the game.  We took back the Davis and walked around the temple grounds and returned home to prepare for tomorrow.

Eastbourne Beach and Pier

I love the delicate flowers in England

Proof that we are at the beach in
Eastbourne!

The day was perfect for a walk on the beach
with the wind blowing hair all over.
