Blenheim Palace

Happy Good Friday!!!  We are off in the office van with Elder Parker driving.  We travelled on hour to Datchet, 2 miles from Windsor Castle, to pick up the Maddens and the Pearces.  It was a cloudy and rainy day yet it did not deter our determination to see Blenheim Palace.  Short history of Blenheim Palace: Blenheim Palace was built in the early 18th Century to celebrate a magnificent victory over the French in the War of the Spanish Succession. It was specifically built as a gift to the 1st Duke of Marlborough, John Churchill, the military commander who led the Allied forces in the Battle of Blenheim on 13th August 1704.  Winston Churchill was born prematurely at Blenheim Palace.  Churchill loved Blenheim. FYI-Blenheim Palace is a working Palace and home of The 12th Duke of Marlborough.

We stopped at Tony Carvery for lunch.  One place turned us away because we didn't have a reservation.  When they heard we were eight people, Tony Carvery almost turned us away and it was only 2/3 full.  We had a wonderful time with these senior missionaries.  They are faithful and hardworking couples and we love and cherish them dearly.  We arrived home after 8 pm and started a  load of towels.
Left to right, Maddens, Pearces, Parkers, and Wallaces.
Our adventure begins.
I got a selfie stick and learned how to use it.

Sister Pearson and I - still practising
on the selfie stick.
Sister Madden and daffidols in full bloom.

Parkers drove while the guys sat in
the back seat while the sisters in
the middle seat.

Blenheim Palace one of the biggest in
England.  over 2000 acres.

Notice the size of the books.
They are maps of the world.

A library that is still used.  Queen Victory is at the other
end of the library.

Another view of the library and
how massive.

It was raining at the Blenheim Palace as we exited.  Didn't spend much
time but will come back again to walk the grounds.

Its a bit blurry but Elder Wallace is under the umbrella on the right.
