We woke to howling winds and snow flurries. We took our time getting ready for the day. While Elder Wallace showered and shaved, I ironed and folded clothes. Clean and tidy house makes coming home even better. We were ready to leave when we got a call from the sisters in Bath. They had no heat and no hot water. I was prepared and looked up YouTube and talked Sister Gates on how to get pressure back into the boiler. It worked! We got a call at 10 am and the boiler had quit working again. I must admit that I love YouTube for instructions on how to fix things. When I can't figure it out I got to YouTube. We were so happy to be at the office. BUT-IT IS SO COLD!!! We came home for lunch to have hot chocolate to help us warm up. I put on some Wellies (boots) with extra sock. My legs kept freezing in the office when someone opened up the door. The wellies did the trick but who cares what you look like when you are warm and content! (Thank you Sister DeArden for the wellies!) We had four phone calls on flats with no heat! We learned that some of the senior missionaries were snowed in and couldn't drive anywhere. Elder Wallace called President Gubler about how bad the weather was and if we should have the missionaries hunker down for the rest of the day. We had several sets of missionaries which had to leave their flats and go somewhere else to sleep. We were worried and prayed for the missionaries. Some were caught in traffic and moving very slow. I tried to help another set of missionaries to fix a boiler and it did not work out at all. We finally left the office at 6 pm. We are so grateful that we live only a few miles from the mission office. I put together a salad and cooked a prepared lamb and potato something. While the casserole was cooking, we put together banana muffins with walnuts. YUMMY!
Clark did the dishes and told me to go write the blog. I told him I hated to make him clean up all the time and so I left him with the dishes and me with the blog. We will be able to have more time together when I finish the blog.
I just want to say how thankful I am to have the experience of being able to serve the Lord here in England. Our testimonies are growing and we are happy and joyful. We are meeting many wonderful missionaries from all over the world. I hope that some of them will come and visit. Today Elder Neunedorf and his parents came to say goodbye to the office staff. Elder N. has been a wonderful missionary. He stayed and extra 6 weeks to help in the office. He could do that because he was from Germany. I hope we can see him again.

It appears that most of Europe is having above average snow and below average temperatures! I just remember being in England as a young missionary (on my way home), staying with some missionaries in London. It was freezing cold in their flat! And that was in May!
