Stonehenge

Elder Wallace and I spent the better part of the day moving furniture and appliances to flats in Poole.  We dropped off a washing machine in Salisbury to Elder Menlove and Elder Johnson. (the second washing machine Elder Wallace has put in for them.)They were having splits/exchanges and had an extra two missionaries over. While Clark was helping put in the new washing machine, I checked out the flat.  One huge closet was full of things left over from past missionaries.  It was time to clean out! We found 3 suitcases, clothes, extra box spring, two vacuums and leftover Christmas stuff they never used.  I had the three of the missionaries work on taking all the stuff from the closet to the van.  We filled the van and still had to make one more stop. We couldn't believe what missionaries had left behind through the years.   Next stop was Southbourne to missionaries, Elder Urpi and Elder Jorgensen. We took them a used/new table and a clothes holder.  They love their new flat.  They had just moved in the flat a week before with the help of Elder Wallace and Elder Germany. We went to lunch at Tobys Carvery and had a delicious lunch and got to know the missionaries.

On our way home we stopped at Stonehenge.  We had a chance to walk around the circle of stones built over 5000 years ago.  Each stone weights over 25 Tons. Very impressive up close and personal! It was so nice to take a break from the van.  We were at the tail end of the day and there was plenty of parking and the buses were easy to get on and off. The day had been over caste and rainy.  The sun decided to break through the clouds while taking the first picture on the blog. Not sure what the green light in the picture is-probably security!

  1. Great picture of the sunset! It looks like the weather is good, too.
