I got a haircut this morning from Emma. She did a great job. I was anxious to get to the office because I'm working on a new flat and I didn't want to mess it up.

Sister Parker was very surprised that we had cake and ice cream and a present for her. She is very shy about attention but she needed to know that we loved her. The cake was delicious. (Okay - I had a piece of cake and ice cream.) I am staying off the candy and chocolates which is a good thing but I am not as good when I'm with a crowd of people and dessert is served. (Julia-I admire you!!!) One thing about the cake is I cut it in half and put jam on the bottom then icing on the jam and then the other half of the cake gets put back on with rest of frosting. (It was also Betty Crocker icing.
Grant Neale came by this evening to show us the marker he had made for his dad's grave. He has done beautiful work. I think it must be healing work.
Institute is tonight and I brought mac & cheese and baguettes and cookies. Sister Doughty provided grapes, oranges and drinks. It was very simple. I need to do more soups that are hardy with lots of veggies and meat. Richard, who is newly baptized, seems like he is hungry but is reserved to get seconds. Elder Wallace sent him home with mac & cheese. Institute was on 2 Nephi 28-33. There is one YSA man named Jacob. We found out that he is autistic but very bright. He is silly and loud but when he prays it is like he is talking to God. His prayers are insightful and thoughtful. And when he gets the chance to talk to can expound on scriptures for a great length of time. He is brilliant in many ways and lack the skills to really participate and talk with friends. The others just accepts and loves him. He works at the Accommodations at the London Temple. Jacob will come in the visit us at the mission office. We left a bit early because we have a long day tomorrow.
Time to go to bed. Falling asleep writing blog.

We pick up Roger & Edie in half an hour for the lecture at Cruise Lady -- by Bro. Line, a favorite speaker of ours. We will return to the MTC early in the morning for day 4.
