Busy day! I showered before Clark - It was a first. I shower last because the shower is so small and it is easier of me to clean. Today we celebrated Thanksgiving with all the London Temple missionaries. We all signed up to bring something. I signed up for rolls. We made it to work at 8 am. It is a little earlier than usual but we closed the office at 2 pm for Thanksgiving. Just before dinner, Clark went to the store and bought rolls while I worked on files. It was so festive and fun. Someone had made a turkey out of chocolate covered biscuts (cookies similar to Keebler cookies) With the chocolate side up was a large gumdrop and behind another cookie as the feathers of the turkey. Three candy corn was used for feathers above the gumdrop and the another candy corn as the head of the turkey. They even put eyes on the candy corn. I wish I had taken a picture. (found a turkey on Elder's Wallace desk and here is a picture of the cute Thanksgiving favor.)
It was so cute. We had turkey breasts, gravy, potatoes, sweet yam souffle, rolls, jam, veggie trays, cold peas and carrot salad (doesn't sound good but was delicious) and other food I didn't even try. And dessert was the best. Sister Blodgett made a pumpkin pie cheese cake that was to die for! I need her recipe. And English Trifle and pumpkin pie and other fruit dishes. Afterwards we played a game and behind some of the chairs were paper feathers with the letters of the alphabet. A turkey was on the wall for us to place the feathers on and say what we are thankful for. I got the letter L. I said I was thankful for a Loving husband and life and the word "lovely" that the English use all the time. I left the dinner stuffed and went back to work. Clark stayed to help clean up. I am opening 4 flats this week. Keeping busy and positive!!! We get to take Thursday and Friday off from the office. We are going to go to Bath, England with the Parkers. Yay! I promise to take lots of pictures.
Clark and I are not eating dinner. We are stuffed. We finished some laundry and our studies for Institute. Ready for some shut eye.
