11 November 2017

Woke early (2:30 am) in the morning because of an awful dream.  My dreams lately are jumbled and make no sense except that it has something I heard of during the day at work or something I read.  We had two sister missionaries called about a rat in their flat. (Sounds like a rhyming book!) A short version of my dreamed was a rat biting my finger and I had to drown the rat to get it off and then my finger started to swell up and that's when I woke up.  No bite, no swelling, no problems!
Getting ready to take the old bed frame apart.

Clark (Elder Wallace during the week. Saturday is P-day!  YEA!!!) and I slept in till 6:30 am.  I could not lay down or sit.  I needed to get up and moving.  It was time to rearrange the flat with the new bed.  I have been worried that the new Super King Purple bed would be to big for the flat.  Clark, being the wise man he is, wanted to see how the bed looks before we make a decision not to keep it.  We changed the beds and I was surprised how great the bed looks even on the floor.  It feels like we are camping out.  We finally got together and ordered a stand for the bed from Mayfair and it will be delivered on Monday.  We found the the Bridgstocks and got help moving mattress and bed frame to their house.  Clark went to get some tools from the mission office and make a few phone calls while cleaned the flat.  I love listening to talks from General Conference while I clean.  I listened to Sister Linda K. Burton on 'Certain Women'.  I loved it so much I heard it again.  I love how she ended her talk "Of these truths I am certain!".
This makes me think of the Morrison family!
Can you tell how overcast and rainy it is?

The flat is now clean.  It looks so nice.  We love our little place and fill happy and secure here.  Clark and I drove to Costco which is 21 miles away which took us over 45 minutes because of all the traffic.  We bought a roast for tomorrow, Kellogg Bran Flakes, and vitamins and ended our Costco run with a hot dog and drinks. We decided to check out Ikea before buying the sheets for the  king bed.  Sizes are different than USA by a few inches.  Ikea is only 4 miles away.  The traffic was ridiculous and Ikea's parking was even worse.  We were in the right place at the right moment to find a parking place close to the front of Ikea.  Of course, I know how to manage Ikea so we went in the Exit doors and went looking for the bedding.  Clark said it was like 'swimming up stream' while all the fish were going downstream. I have never seen a store so busy except at the day after Thanksgiving when everyone shops the sales.  Bedding wasn't as close as I thought. To our delight, we found a mattress pad, duvet cover with 4 pillow cases, blanket, fitted sheet, two Christmas red pillow covers, dark blue bathroom rug and a small dustpan with a brush.  Okay - it is interesting they don't have top sheets.  The duvet covers the blanket and doubles as the top sheet.  Luckily we have a an extra sheet to use so we can keep the duvet clean.  I love the duvet cover.  The duvet is a white on white texture with matching pillow cases.  It is so cute.  The red pillow accents the bed and looks like a designer bed on the floor.  Coming home was much quicker than going.  We made the bed and realized that I need to get a shoe box filled with things for a girl 7-9 year old girl for a sub-for-Santa for the East Grinstead Ward.  Clark drove me into East Grinstead to a place called The Pound.  It is a dollar store.  I found gloves, hat, socks, necklace with earrings of ponies, rings, tooth brush, tooth paste, candy and chocolate, 2 mini beanie baby cats, paper, pens, crayons, and color markers. I was surprised that it fit into a shoe box.  Leslie Bridgstock let me borrow wrapping paper.  Wrapped the box and the lid separately.

Sister Harkness and Sister DeArden came for games and snacks.  Sister D and I are on our sixth day for not eating sugar.  I am filling much better.  Body is trying to adjust!!!  Sister D brought two different kinds of dip with carrot and celery sticks.  I provided crackers, apple, banana, and water.  Healthy alternative to sweets.  Enjoyed it all!  Sister DeArden won both games of 5 Crowns and Mormon Bridge.  Clark was the biggest loser.  Off to sleep in our new bed.
