November 1st. I can't believe how fast time is moving. We got ready for the office early so I could cut Elder Palmer's hair. Elder Wallace got a haircut before the elders came. The other elder is from Germany and has a quick wit. Both elders know computers and is doing some work for me Flat Checks. Afterwards we all ate an egg and cheese burrito. It seems like old times!!! Cutting hair and feeding people!!! Since Elder Wallace and I were ready for work it didn't take much time to change clothes and still arrive at the office early.
Staff Meeting today with President and Sister Gubler and the rest of the office missionaries. It is a treat to have the Mission President join us at the office. Sister Parker put together a tray of lettuce, cheese and tomatoes and another with onion rolls for sandwiches. The rolls were fresh and made as a sandwich was very tasty. We had a working lunch and once everyone got their food our meeting started. We learned that we will be transferring missionaries in January which will mean some closing of flats and opening of flats. I just became so overwhelmed with the job thinking of all I have to do. I did get more done today than yesterday.
We left the office at 4 pm to get ready to teach Institute. We talked to both Emily and Marjorie for a few minutes since we didn't get to talk to them on Halloween. We studied for a couple of hours and fixed toasted tuna and cheese sandwiches for dinner and off to the Crawley church building. Institute class goes for 90 minutes and two lessons are given. Elder Wallace did a great job talking about 2 Nephi 9-10 for the first lesson and I gave the second lesson on 2 Nephi 11-16. I got the Isaiah chapters. I do love Isaiah but I just wasn't prepared as much as I should of been and tried to teach to much. Sister Leslie Doughty brought soup and baguettes. I love it when I don't have to cook. We got home around 11 pm and went straight to bed. I kept falling asleep reading scriptures.

Slept in a little later because of getting home so late the night before. Elder Wallace woke up was a pain in his big toe. He took some pills for gout and was feeling much better. As Elder Wallace was getting ready for work I went for a short walk.
It was an extremely quiet day at the office. The Parkers and Sister Harkness had to go to a driving class because of tickets and Sister DeArden had a project she needed to do and went to another part of the building to accomplish her work. Elder Wallace and I were alone most of the day. The phone didn't ring much but I was very blessed with inspiration on how to accomplish the opening and closing of flats. (tender mercy) It will take me awhile but I will know the ins and out of the flats and the process of opening and closing them. I am doing a spreadsheet on Excel and going through every flat and making notes of what needs to be done on each file. Everyone arrived about 5 pm for a few minutes and Elder Parker finally told us to go home. We put in a good and fruitful day at the office and arrived home just before 6 pm.
We talked to Dad, Lynne and Dee on FaceTime. It was so fun to see them and hear about their day of weeding and cleaning and resting. As we were getting ready to say good bye, Dad said, "Don't worry about me. I will be here when you get off your mission." Okay - a few tears. Time for a frozen pizza for dinner and writing in the blog. Don't want people to forget us and I don't want to forget what we accomplished today.
Make sure you don't get any tickets! I went to the mall to get back into my exercise program and I saw Dave and Emily there. Dave was pushing the little one in the stroller. You talk about the opening and closing of flats. Don't the missionaries just move into the previous elders' apartments?
