Hurray for monring!!! A little bit of a ruff night.  I spent the early morning hours reading Nephi 11-14, writing an email to Sophia answering many of her questions and updating the blog.

Life is busy as a senior missionary.  In some ways our life is so uncomplicated and simple.  We don't have a house to care for and yard to work in and other obligations.  Now comes the but...we are busier than ever.  Elder Wallace and I got ready for the day and went into the office early because we got keys to the mission office yesterday.  Elder Corbett announced that we were traveling to Sutton to pack and clean a flat.  We hurried home to change into work clothes and returned to the mission office ready to work hard.  That's our job now.  The Corbetts and Sister Harkness and two Elders joined in the festivities.  We were prepared for the worst mess of an apartment and was greatly surprised at how clean and organized it was.  We still had to pack the kitchen and beds and bedding.  The missionaries left lots of Books of Mormons and pamphlets that we brought back to put on shelves until another missionary needs. them.  The first thing we saw was lots of Cadbury chocolate Easter eggs.  We, the sisters, had a chocolate feast while we cleaned.  It helped to keep us going.  As we were cleaning out the freezer we found two frozen pizza.  Not wanting to throw them away, we heated the oven and had pizza with Popsicle's for lunch.  Clark and I looked like sardines in a van coming home.  We had a seat behind each other while  Elder Corbett drove the van with Sister Corbett and Sister Harkness in the front seat.  I did have problems as a microwave kept moving towards me every time Elder Corbett made a quick turn.  I kept pushing the microwave back on the night stand.

Came home with lots of treasures for the flat - a clock for the bathroom, metal clothes rack to dry clothes on, two large bowls, two bread pans and a skirt hanger that holds 4 skirts.  We also got some canned goods like beans and soup.  We are being blessed we things we need.  We also brought two mattresses home for when Tyler and Marjorie arrive on Saturday.  We are so excited to see them.  Marjorie is bringing me more sweaters to wear and a few more needed things.

Dinner was quick and easy with left overs from last night.  We returned the van and drove our car home.  I received a InstaPot from Sister Harkness.  The church bought one and she hasn't used it because it seem to complicated.  I am taking dinner to institute class tomorrow.  I am going to make mac & cheese in the InstaPot.  I was going to shopping for the stuff we need but we need to stop at the store tomorrow for bread so I decided I could wait to make it at the church.  Should only take 15 minutes.  Hope it tastes good and the YSA will like it.   President Gubler said to make simple meals.  I am planning to use the InstaPot lots especially now that it is getting colder.

  1. Instead of a Pandora's box, you opened a CARE package! Little treasures are always appreciated. I subbed at Mt. Jordan today in 8th grade English. I'd forgotten what stinkers 8th graders could be! They have no concept of the word "quiet." While golfing yesterday, I would turn around and ask, "Did you see where that went?" But my golfing buddy was not there and I had to search high and low to find those pesky balls! It's in the 50's here.
