Our first speaking assignment today. Elder Wallace and I spoke in the Crawley Ward with Brother Doughty, a high councilman. Sister Steed, a missionary is transferring to a new area on Tuesday and talked for a few minutes and testified of her knowledge of the Savior. We were asked to speak about ourselves, family, callings, and why we are on a mission. I talked about our life together and the tender mercy of the Lord and experiences with Emily as a preemie. Elder Wallace talked his opportunity of serving a mission in New Zealand and stayed with his original mission in the Montana Wyoming Mission. We would not have met. And then our son, Mark gets the call to serve in New Zealand. The Lord has blessed us through the years and we acknowledge his hand in our lives.
Elder and Sister Seamons had the sister missionaries and us come for a Sunday dinner before the fireside with Elder Phillips, a newly called Seventy this past General Conference. It was a sweet experience as he took two different sections of the New Testament and dissected them. Talking about each aspect and what each side was feeling especially the woman taken in adultery. He read from John 8;1-10 and Matthew 11:28-30.
We were able to talk to Nanette and Emily. We love our family and their support. Family and Friends-we pray for you daily. Know you are in our thoughts and our hearts.
