We were up early to prepare for Marjorie and Tyler's coming. We went grocery shopping early and found that the main road to Grinstead was under contruction. We didn't have any problems going earlier for shopping but traffic was awful going to a baptism for Michelle. We picked up Sister DeArden at the temple and was 10 minutes late for the baptism but we made it. Michelle got the chance to say a few words after the baptism and promised to keep the covenants and the promises she had made to the Lord. Tears were shed and hearts touched. In preparing for the kids I washed windows and cleaned house. What a big difference when you look outside. I love cleaning this place. Clark vacuums and dusts while I did laundry, ironing, and the bathroom. It takes less than 30 minutes to get the work done.
Marjorie and Tyler took the Victoria train to Lingsfield. We got there a bit late to pick them up because we didn't hear the message on the phone till we were on the way to the train station. It was wonderful to see the kids. It freaked Tyler out driving on the opposite side of the road. We parked at the East Grinstead Church parking. Parking is a premium everywhere and there are plethora of parking tickets to be had. The kids liked the flat and the fish and chips afterward. We went to the fish and chips place where we had them the first time in East Grinstead. We parked at the church and walked a few short blocks. We even had mushy peas that Malcolm Green talks about. We walked to Waitrose after dinner. The grocery store is right across the street from the church where we parked. Marjorie and Tyler loved going and up down the isles looking at food items. He bought specialty fruit & grain cereal, yogurt, and some other things. He wanted to experience food from England and he did. He made me realize that we were eating the same things at home and we need to branch out and try new foods. Marjorie was able to get her laundry done.. We played 5 Crowns taking time to finish the laundry. Tyler is competitive!!! Not like me!! (stop laughing!) I at least start out great winning a few hands and then its down hill for me. Marjorie and Tyler picked up 5 Crowns quickly with only one practice game. I am very grateful that Marjorie brought me more clothes and few things for the kitchen and Emily for making sure Marjorie brought them.
The Bridgstocks have been so great in helping get bedding and air mattress for Tyler and Marjorie. They even invited them to sleep at their place if things didn't work out here. We had gotten two foam mattresses from a flat and brought them over. They preferred the foam mattresses and have slept well.
Family prayers and off to sleep.
