Elder Wallace and I were up and going early.  We arrived at the office at 8 am.  We were heading to Staines to see the Maddens.  We took a couch, twins beds,  shelves, dresser and nightstands to Elder and Sister Madden and other missionary flats.  We had a hard time getting away from the office with loading the van and office work.  We finally made it on the road to find that there was heavy traffic and the going was slow.  It is like driving to Heathrow again for the 4th time in a week.  Arrived at Maddens at 12:30 pm who lives in Datchet, a small town.  Elder Wallace and Elder Madden unloaded the couch and drove to the sister missionaries flat to deliver the dresser and nightstands..  It is a new flat in a new building in the center of  Aldershot.  I drove the car while the Elders drove the van.  Sister Madden does not drive because of depth problems. The flat is on the second floor (3rd floor in US).  It did have a small elevator which fit the dresser and two men.  The shelf did not fit and had to be carried up two floors.  Sister Madden and I took the stairs with the nightstands.  On interesting thing about the new flat.  There are no closets, a two bedroom apartment and no place to hang your clothes.  Another interesting thing it fire doors everywhere.  We passed four flats and a fire door, four flats and a fire door and so forth.  We had to go through 4 doors to get to the missionaries apartment.   I kept opening a door and holding it while the men went through and ran to the next door to open it.  Well-that's the English way!!!  Next stop was another flat that the elder missionaries had for a long time and  finish closing the flat.  We retrieved a refrigerator and the heaviest table with huge legs with lion paws at the bottom plus a matching chair.  Off to deliver the frig to the Maddens.  Sister Madden had prepared lunch and tried a new recipe of chicken lasagna with a new squash drink we called pear and coconut. It was so good.  We packed the van with things that needed to go back to the mission office and put the set of twin beds in their car.  We proceeded to drive to another sister missionary apartment in Alderstone.  We were getting rid of furniture and dropped off a lounge chair and two kitchen chairs and  were loading 2 red stools from the 50's when a lady in the building wanted to buy them for 10 pounds.  We were more than happy to give them to her.  It was a darling flat and did have one closet.  Maddens went on to deliver the twins beds while Elder Wallace and I were off to the M 25 experiencing heavy traffic again.  All I cared about was that I couldn't wait to go home.

Returned home and had a bit to eat and got busy cleaning the flat.  Leslie, our neighbor came over and invited us for dinner.   We just couldn't eat another thing.  Then she invited us over for pudding in half an hour.  And so glad we did.   The Bridgstocks had invited a few couples over for dinner and one couple forgot. We had a wonderful visit and the most delicious Waffle Raspberry Pudding.  I got the recipe and will be making the dessert on Monday night when we go for dinner at the Costlys.  I will send my family and friends in Utah the recipe if it works out for me.  Elder Wallace fell asleep while I ironed his white shirts.  It was late and we had had a big day especially Elder Wallace lifting and carrying furniture and driving all day.  We did see some beautiful country.  I cannot describe the  different colors of green of the trees, hedges and rolling hills as sheep feed off the land.  It is so picturesque.

This picture is for my Dad.  He loves bridges.  I took the picture in the van going towards Heathrow on the M 25.
Enjoy Dad!!!  Notice the blue skies.  I love it when the sun shines in England.
