We attended institute class and had a lesson given by Leslie Doughty.  Leslie has been teaching seminary for quite a while and institute for about 6 months.  She has an English accent and a way relating things today to the situations in the Book of Mormon and what Lehis family went through.  Leslie has a great relationship with the students.  She has a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon.

Our first Zone Conference!!!   The senior missionaries bought, prepared and served lunch for over 100 missionaries.  Mission Presidient Gubler and Sister Gubler were impressive with their power point presentations, knowledge of the scriptures, inviting the spirit of the Lord, and helping to get missionaries to sit for 3 hours to listen and participate.  I developed a headache and was chilled.  I took something for the pain and stood by a window while the sun was coming through.  Finally I sat in the warm car for 15 minutes and started to fill better enough to have lunch and clean up.  It was a very busy day.

Elder Wallace and I went to the London Temple to do initiatory.  We got there while the initiatory was closed because every on was having Tea (dinner).  I thought that somewhat funny since we don't drink tea.  We had dinner and went back to the temple to do initiatory again.  We did accomplish the names we had but found out that initiatory closes at 7 pm and we arrived at 6:45 pm.  We need to read the schedule of the temple.

We get great reception for the phone at the temple.  We took the opportunity to call the girls.

Arrived early to meet the Corbetts.  Had a few minutes to get some exercise walking the London Temple grounds.  Just lovely!!!

Elder Corbett and Elder Wallace took off in the van at 9:30 am to go to Bristol.  We decided the night before that I would not go with them.  Elder Corbett told us that Sister Corbett wanted a day to work on her own and get things done that she needed to do.  I was going to spend the day at home and was dropping off Clark at the office when Sister Parker asked me do some things for her.  I drove home (yes all by myself) showered and returned back to the office.  I made a list of all the Book of Mormons we have on the shelf and what languages they were in.  WOW!  Over a 100 different languages.  I drove Sister Corbett and Sister Harkness into East Grenstead.  We mailed a letter to China, picked up and dropped off dry cleaning, bought make-up, and I bought some new black shoes at Clark's.  I was saying that it was getting late and pulled out the parking pass and Sister Harkness gasped.  I was to place it on the dashboard of the car.  We hurried back to the car hoping I didn't get a ticked.  It will cost 60 pounds if I get one.  You won't know until you get a ticket in the mail.  It will take about a week.  I was so busy driving the car I didn't read the signs about where to put the parking pass.  Lesson learned and will not happen again.

We then stopped at McDonalds for lunch.  I ordered a chicken & green salad and did not realize that they don't have dressing to serve with it.  Very interesting eating salad without Ranch dressing.  When I got back to office I worked on passports.  Sister Corbett left for the day and I was able to file, work on closed files for flats and organize a few things.  I am enjoying working in the office.  It will a bit scary when I have all the responsibility of all the flats.

It is past 8 pm and I am still waiting for Clark to return.  We talked at 7 pm and the Elders had been caught in traffic.  I've spent the time cleaning the house and tiding up.  Laundry is going and I am going to be ready for sightseeing tomorrow and a Canadian Thanksgiving at the Corbetts.  I was so happy to see Clark.  He arrived home about 9 pm.  He is my hero and I was so glad I didn't have to sit in the van traveling many hours.

We arrived at the mission office and no one was there.  We took a walk around the London Temple.
This plant is huge and in full bloom.
