Elder Wallace and I arrived at the mission office at 9 am. We went straight way to Sainsberry, the grocery store to purchase fresh rolls, veggies, and apples. I was in charge of the luncheon at the mission president's house today. I made chicken salad sandwiches and Sister Parker made a yummy dessert. After lunch President Gubler took the office workers for a walk down a peaceful dirt path behind his house that lead us across the motorway to another dirt path to a beautiful pond with ducks. We didn't talk much but enjoyed the scenery and the short get-a-way. The office met about travel, procedure, missionary business and other things. We didn't leave till after 4 pm and arrived back at the office to get in our cars and go home. We were still full from lunch and ate a few leftovers in the fridge. My phone started ringing. I couldn't believe that I was getting reception and low and behold Roger and Edie was calling us. It was so funny because the phone kept cutting out and finally we drove over to the London Temple to get better reception. We were excited to know that Dennis and Mary Kaye were with DuPaixs at Doyles home. It was so good to talk to our friends. I am a bit homesick as I write this blog. I love you all family and friends. We spent the rest of the evening reading the Book of Mormon and preparing for Institute on Wednesday night. I feel asleep listening to conference talks. Such wisdom and great truth we heard Saturday and Sunday. I am trying to catch up on all the talks since I feel asleep Sunday night at 9 pm when the afternoon General Conference began. I did hear Tad Callister's talk on the Book of Mormon this morning. It was a powerful talk.
(I do have pictures on Elder Wallace's phone but not sure how to get them on my blog. Help Steve!)

I spent the day in the office with a portion of the day by myself. Elder Wallace and Elder Corbett went to Salisbury to take a washing machine to an elders flat. The elders have been without a washer for a month. It took Elder Wallace and Corbett about an hour and half to get there. And when they did the Elders weren't there. They had the opportunity to walk to Salisbury Cathedral. They took a few pictures and walked back to the Elders apartment. Elder Wallace took Elder Corbett back to Brighton and didn't get home until after 8 pm. I was getting worried and was grateful for his safe return. Elder and Sister Parker brought over leftover dessert from the office meeting the day before. We are become close friend and enjoy their company. While Elder Wallace was gone Sister Corbett gave me a ride home from the office and I spent the evening making a patch of Scotch-a-roos, a Rice Crispy treat and gave it to the Bridgstones and Neals. I will try cookies next time I cook. We have spent the rest of the eveing reading the Book of Mormon and preparing for Institute class tomorrow. I didn't realize that Nephi and his brothers had to travel 180 miles back to Jerusalem to acquire the brass plates, 14-16 days one way.
