MTC Day 4

Thursday, September 7, 2017

I am determined to write in my blog every day.  So here it goes.  I cannot believe that we will be on day 5 tomorrow at the MTC.  Time is going quickly and we are enjoying every minute of it.  We love to talk to the missionaries and learn where they are going.  We met two Elders who where trying to get their visa cleared for New Zealand.  They were suppose to leave on Monday and are still waiting.  I am so impressed with the quality and the intelligence and devotion of these missionaries.

We have had over 500 new missionaries arrive yesterday.  You can tell that they are new missionaries by their eyes.  They look like they are a deer in the headlights.  The cafeteria is filled with more missionaries yet the good part about it is the senior missionaries gets to go to the front of the line.  I guess you could say that we have earned our place at the front of the line or the church worries about our blood level if we are not eating every 4 hours.  The food is quite good and I am surprised at the variety.  I tend to go for soup and salad for lunch and a hot meal for dinner.  Oatmeal is my favorite breakfast.

We had training on technology again.  Clark and I are getting pretty good at the Gospel Library and preparing lessons and downloading videos, scriptures and pictures.  We gave a lesson using our new found skills with the Gospel Library.  Elder and Sister Hicks are excellent teachers and we have loved getting to know them.  They are going to Japan to be over Public Affairs.  They are younger than us and had to leave jobs to go on a mission.  Love their dedication and testimonies.

Clark and I went to the Provo Temple tonight. It was fun getting in the car and going somewhere-anywhere.  After attending the temple we drove around Provo for a few minutes.  We decided to find Robert and Susan's old home by Utah Street.  We did find it.  I loved the front yard.  It had an oval island of plants and trees and the same brick house.  We returned to the MTC and walked around campus and tried to find Sister Sabrina Wallace.  We did find her class and saw her from the outside of the windows in one of the new MTC buildings.  We will try to see her tomorrow.  We did take a few more pictures of the chandelier.  It is so pretty at night because you can see all the little lights.  I am having problems downloading the pictures tonight or I would put them on the blog.

Good night so we can be ready for tomorrow.

  2. Sounds familiar! We loved the MTC! It was fun to hop in our car at night and go shopping for shoes or whatever. We loved the food, too! Frequently, the young elders would ask us if they could return our trays....
