We woke remembering Stewart and Jan's 45th Wedding Anniversary. Hope they enjoyed the day!
I woke at 4 am and couldn't go back to sleep. Clark woke at 5 am. We got dressed in our work clothes, ate breakfast, prayed and left in the van at 6 am. We travelled to Reading (said Red-ing) to deliver a mattress, chest of drawers and two chairs to Elders in Woodley. We found the place in record time. The Elders met us out front of their place. We went to see the flat and had the missionaries carry down two dilapidated overstuffed chairs for the living room besides two kitchen chairs that were in awful shape. The Elders then carried in a brown leather-looking love seat to the flat to their second floor flat. The flat is definitely a missionary flat. We said our good byes and quickly drove to Oxford about 45 minutes away. We had a hard time finding the flat. The satnap did work for the address. It got us close but not at the right building. The Elders talked us to their place on the cell phones. What would we do without cell phones? They had the worst couch I have ever seen at a flat. We carried the cushions while the Elders carried the couch to the van. The tender mercy for the day was passing a Rubbish and Recycle place just 10 minutes away from the flat in Oxford. It took us no time at all to unload all the couches and chairs and we were off home. We had the chance to stop at IKEA for lunch and buy a few things for the new flat. I love their zip-lock bags. Two different sizes come in each back and the bags are colour coded. (Fancy!) I also bought two bath mats for the new flat in London. We arrived at the office at 2 pm. I was getting a little sleepy and was glad when it was time to go home.
We came home and Elder Wallace took a nap while I did things around the flat. We drove to Gatwick and picked up Sister Harkness and her daughter Hannah and her son Josh. They were arriving from Paris and told us their adventures. Busy day!!!
