Picture of Baumkuchen
Christmas!!! Christmas morning we woke and got ready early for the day.  We had the missionaries come for breakfast along with Elder and Sister Seamans.  The Seamans brought juice for breakfast and Elder Neuendorf brought Baumkuchen from Germany that his mother sent him.  It was a cake with a big hole in the center.  They dip the cake then cook it and keep dipping it in different layers.  It was delicious.

Dan and Julia - Here is something to
look for while serving in Germany!
We served waffles w/ice cream and blueberries, bacon and breakfast casserole.  The missionaries brought their gifts to open and we enjoyed watching.  Sister Leavitt was so excited to get some new clothes especially sweaters to keep her warm.  Sister Neilsen loved her new dress from her parents.  Elder Neuendorf and Elder Palmer got 2 sets of shaving lotion and cologne and decorative socks.  Elder Wallace and I gave them a certificate for a sweatshirt from the mission office with the mission logo on it.  They get to pick their sizes and color.  That is the best I could do.  Elder and Sister Seamans cleaned up and did the dishes for us.  How wonderful!  I know who to invite for breakfast again. We love the Seamans and our missionaries. The missionaries left to go to East Grinstead church to sing  Christmas carols and Seamans had other things they had to do.

Elder Palmer and Elder Neuendorf came back an hour later and we played 5 Crowns which I was the best loser.  Afterwards I prepared a dessert for a potluck dinner with senior missionaries from the London Temple.  I took a Raspberry Waffle Dessert.  It was soooo good.  Leslie bought me waffles on Saturday because I could find them at the store.  I will make this dessert when I get home.  I realized that I could of made the waffles and they would of tasted as good. The potluck dinner started at 1 pm.  It was amazing or lovely as the English would say.  We had turkey, ham and roast with mashed potatoes, salads, rolls and a table for desserts.  What a spread!!!  Afterwards we played games and laughed and had fun.  We help clean for a few minutes than came home to rest.  I started a puzzle that was given to us by the sisters for Christmas and Elder Wallace took a short nap.

We visited the Bridgstocks for a few minutes to see how their Christmas went and told them the success of the Waffle Dessert and thank Leslie for the flowers and the waffles.  We spent the rest of the evening visiting with family.  We talked to all the children and grandchildren, Clark's brothers and sister and Aunt Bonnie, Dad and Lynne.  This took the rest of our night.  I had no desire to write the blog.  Nice to be with Clark and go to bed.  We were tired.

We sat by the Elder and Sister Murdock for Christmas Dinner.
Amazing couple - this is their second mission to the London Temple.

The Accommodations were still using the Christmas decorations
we used for the missionary dinners.
