Sunday, 17 June 2018

It is Father's Day in England besides in the United States.  We were able to talk to Dad and wish him a Happy Father's Day.  We also talked to Dan & Julia, Emily & Steve, and Nanette.  It was Nanette's second time wishing her Dad a Happy Father's Day.  She started off last Sunday texting Clark wanting to be the first to wish him a Happy Father's Day.  It was fun to talk to family and see many faces of people we love.

We attended East Grinstead.  We arrived early and while waiting was asked to the say the prayers in sacrament meeting. One of the Bridgstock's grandchildren were talking in church.  He did such a nice job.  After arriving home we got a call from Emily telling us about Aleatha Haueter passing away.  I will miss her.  She is an amazing woman and always such a lady.  I loved to go visit her.  I already miss her.  Just that morning when we woke we were talking about Dad and Mom and when Mom passed away.  Then I told Clark that I thought it would be a wonderful Father's Day gift if she was able to see her husband and Dad.  I was being prepared for her passing.

We lunched with the Bridgstocks.  Lesley made a Cottage Pie with peas, carrots, corn and a gravy to put over the pie.  Delicious!  We came home and a took a nap.  At 6 pm we attended a fireside hosted by the temple.  The Nibrosky family presented music and Brother Nibrosky, a bishop, talked about how he met his wife, work and travels.  They have lived in England, Syria, Jordan, and were moving to Hong Kong in a few weeks.  They have seven children and three of their boys sang.  Very nice.
