We got ready for the day and went shopping early. We have a full day planned. We met the Seversons at the mission office and they followed us up to their new apartment in Staines. It took over 3 hours with traffic and we only stayed a few minutes at the Seversons. They seemed to like their new abode. We returned home to do the laundry, wash potatoes and make meat loaf and baked chocolate chip cookies for the Bridgstock family for dinner. (I found out that you need plain flour for cookies! And it works out beautifully!) We drove to Nymans to see the gardens. We decided not to take a tour of the house. We had already seen it. Here is our day at Nymans in pictures. We returned home to make Waldorf salad for dinner. Sara and the kids arrived a half hour early when we realised that they were eating at our house since we couldn't eat outside. We hurriedly set the table for 13 people and had a wonderful dinner. We thought we had made to much meatloaf for the family but they loved it. It was the first time for meatloaf. They loved the salad also. I was worried because a lot of English people won't eat fruit with their savoury dinner. Lesley and I washed dishes and cleaned up while David Bridgstock and Clark visited. We got a chance to go play cards with the Davis. We quickly drove over to Tony and Carol's place at the Manor House on London Temple property. Carol was the big winner of thenight. It made her evening.
Day at Nymans in pictures. I love the beautiful flowers that bloom.
