Boxing Day! We found out that Boxing Day was a day for the servants to have the day off of work and receive a box of goodies or money or leftover food to take home in a box. Another holiday in England!
Elder Wallace went shopping for rolls for a dinner party tonight. I stayed home and got ready for the day, did a load of laundry and worked on the puzzle. We had breakfast and left for the office to catch up on a few things then met 7 senior missionaries by the London Temple. We were going to our first movie at the cinema in Crawley. I bought the tickets the night before for everyone and got a 20% discount for setting up an account. I saved us all about 2 pounds per ticket. We all enjoyed Star Wars "The Last Jedi". One of the couple bought a huge box of popcorn and shared it with everyone. We said goodbye to the group because Clark was meeting Elder Costley at the office to instruct him on the van. Costleys were Visitor Centre missionaries but since closing the VC they are become a YSA couple in Plymouth. The rest of our Star War friends went to Pizza Hut for dinner.
Elder and Sister Costley hosted a dinner party for Boxing Day. We had pulled pork sandwiches with a green pistachio salad and other food snacks. Sister Costley had made delicious cookies but I was so full I couldn't eat another bit. We played games and pulled party crackers. We had a delightful time! The Costley are wonderful hosts and will have a wonderful time working with the YSA. We got home early and went to bed. We were tired. I could hardly keep my eyes open. I had just fallen asleep but Clark was still awake when the phone rang and it was Elder and Sister DuPaix and Dennis Doyle. DuPaixs leave on their mission in the morning. They showed us the pile of things they were taking. It was so good to hear and see them and find out about their visit to the MTC and catch up on the Ward news. Now is the time for some shut eye!

I didn't want to get out of bed this morning. I wanted the vacation to last a few more days. We haven't been in the office for a couple of weeks. We made it to the office by 7:30 am. By the time we went to the office it was snowing and very cold. Upon arriving at the office. we went to work --- I sent notices to close a flat and Elder Wallace did computer and paperwork. Just after 9 am I dropped off Elder Wallace at the Costleys so he could help pack the van while I drove to Sainsbury to do grocery shopping for MLC tomorrow and get a few birthday cards and thank you notes. It was one of the first times I have gone by myself to a store. It was so refreshing but soooo cold loading the car. Clark called me as I was almost arriving at the flat. Went back to the office to have a devotional and prayer and start the day. Sister Harkness and Sister DeArden were sick and went back to their flats. We went home for lunch and back to the office until 5 pm. We decided we want to go to the temple this week and tonight was a perfect time to go. We had leftovers for dinner and hurried to the temple. Upon arriving I showed my recommend to Elder Page when he told me the temple was closed. I thought he was joking and he wasn't. There is only a few sessions available for three days. We were disappointed because we won't make it back to the temple this year. At least it gave me time to finish up the blog and spend time with my love.
